I believe plutonium was the most important invention during WWII. It contributed to the Allied victory by the Allied forces using plutonium in the atomic bomb they dropped on Nagasaki. The use of atomic weapons on Japan caused them to surrender and this was one thing that led to the Allied victory.
Jet Tech, because it paved the way for all modern aircraft, even helicopters. Had it not be for the Germans, we´d still be using propeller planes today. Highway were also a huge invention.
I agree that Jet technology was an important aspect of the Allies winning World War II. Airplanes were a huge factor in how the war was fought and so advancements in their technology was important in helping the Allies win the war.
Radar I believe radar did a lot because if the Allies never used it against the Germans in the Battle of Britain then it would have let the Germans have an advantage in winning. Using radar had helped them know where the Germans were and where they needed to attack the planes that were bombing them.
Proximity fuses were the most important factor in contributing to the Allied victory because it significantly helped the Allies deal with the Axis air forces as well as infantry. Without proximity fuses our accuracy while shooting at planes would of been much worse and London would of been completely wiped out.
Nylon was a great advancement to the allied powers because we need strong parachutes and ropes! Without strong and flexible ropes and parachutes people would probably die. Soldiers used rope all the time to help move around, tie things up and climb high things and they wouldn't feel safe if the rope kept breaking and who wants to jump out of a plane with a parachute that might not work. So Nylon was da bomb.
The Jeep, because it was the best vehicle to use to get from point a to point b on land. Today the jeep is still used, in the military and the different models that everyone can buy. So it was a very important invention.
One of the most important technological advancements that contributed to the allied victory was napalm. It was proven more effective on German bunkers than normal bombs. When used on Tokyo in densely populated areas, it caused more causalties than Hiroshima or Nagasaki. Napalm cluster bombs played a large part in Japan's surrender to the allied forces.
I think that the B-29 bomber was the most important factor in contributing to the Allied victory because it eventually dropped the first atomic bomb over Hiroshima. The dropping of the first atomic bomb was one of the major turning point for the Allied success. Also, with the pressurized cabin it allowed the pilots to fly at higher altitudes without getting altitude sickness or suffering from lack of oxygen in their blood. The B-29 was also able to fly longer distances so that the Allied forces could go further over enemy lines.
I agree. Pressurized cabins created a whole new variant of warfare where air superiority truly determined the outcome of battle. Many of the anti-air weapons of the time were unable to strike a target at such a high altitude.
Duct tape was an extremely significant invention for Allied forces. Not only did it create a waterproof seal for the preservation of ammunition, it could also double as a makeshift bandage. Other uses included emergency repairs and adhesives, which made duct tape an integral component to sustaining troops overseas (where you can't just return to the continental U.S. to repair something). Duct tape is also widely used today.
I agree, duct tape was a major contributor to helping with the victory of the Allied forces. It may not have done much but it helped them with keeping the ammunition dry and it helped repair other things in the field.
Plutonium was probably the most important invention during WWII because at the end of the day, it was the dropping of atomic bombs containing plutonium on Nagasaki and Hiroshima that provoked Japan's surrender- leading to an Allied victory.
The Lorenz Cipher was one of the most important inventions during WW2. I believe this because it helped the Allies significantly in the war when the British decoded it. It helped the allies strategically, for we could plan ahead knowing a general idea of what the German's were going to do. Therefore, we could be ready for any invasions they communicated about through these machines.
Jerrycans because you cant refuel tanks, cars etc out in the middle of nowhere. They helped both axis and allies, even though the allies basically stole their idea. You could also carry 2 cans at a time because they had handles on them which is useful.
I think Penicillin was a huge advancement during World War 2 because of how many people it was able to help. When someone got hurt (including our allies) there was something to help when we needed it most. For example, if someone got sick or shot, it could help fight infections or the illness. The more we used this, the more people we would have. "Along with increasing the chances of survival for those wounded, the other major development in World War Two was the treatment of those who had received severe wounds."
I was repeating myself a lot, I wasn't exactly sure what to say.
In my eyes Penicillin was the most important invention of them all because it helped soldiers on the battlefield, If not for Penicillin people would of died of the infection spreading throughout the rest of their body. It also helped soldiers not feel the pain at all, just numbs the pain
The best advancement in WW2 that helped us win the war has to be the atomic bomb, as it ended the war and prevented many more years of bloody conflict.

I also agree with radar because it added to the Allied war strategy.

DeleteI agree. Without the help of proximity fuses, the Blitzkrieg would've been worse for London than it already was, and Germany would've taken over.
