  1. 'Save your children, end the nazi regime'
I feel this is the most powerful one, for it shows the hanging of Jews, and uses the idea of it is only children, so that makes it really powerful too. And it is really nicely drawn.

'The day will come' This one is drawn really nice, and shows that one day that the nazi's and hitler will 'burn' and be gotten rid of. And it just really drawn very well.

  2. I like the picture of the hanging jews because it strikes fear into the target audience. The message was that Nazi's hang children. The artist used symbolism by utilizing the Nazi symbol behind the hanging children. The propaganda could have been successful during WWII because it's a very powerful and fear inducing message for the audience.

I liked the propaganda showing Jesse Owens beating the German in the 1936 Olympics. The message was that Jesse Owens beating the German was a huge moral boost for the U.S. The artist used symbolism by showing the German as tired and weak. The propaganda could have been successful at that time because it was such a recent event, and it boosted U.S moral.

  4. The Save the Children one: I liked that it emphasized how brutal the Nazi powers could be, as they would even kill children. The symbolism in it,it has a giant swastika and the hanging children, showing that the Nazi powers are the sole cause of this brutality. No doubt this piece would've made at least a few people enlist.

A Nazi who Can't Run, Can't Hold a Gun: I liked the portrayal of the Nazi who couldn't compete with Jesse Owens, and if that Nazi was chosen to represent the German power and then lost, it basically says that the Nazi powers are weak. Obviously it only would've been effective after the Olympics when Jesse Owens won, but it likely would've worked.

  5. "Save your children, end the nazi regime."
I liked the colors and the detail on it. Save your children end the nazi regime. The message was really clear because it shows children in the picture hanging with the Star of David around their neck or on the soles of their shoes. Yes the symbolism portrayed their point in their picture. I think the propaganda would have been successful.

    "A Nazi would can't run can't hold a gun"
I liked the design and the legibility. The message was clear and it was showing that Aryans weren't superior.
Starpower is the symbolism. I think this propaganda would have been successful during that time

  6. The day shall come picture throws me off a little because that was the Japanese flag in those times so does it represent Nazi japs

  7. "our enemy shall burn" it looks good and the meaning is that the nazi will lose.

"save your children end the nazi regime" it has good color and it shows people hangin so it shows that the nazi will kill people.

  8. 1) United, we shall win: The one with the two guns pointed at the Nazi symbol I like because it shows to have the allies united and defeat Germany. The message is to stand against the Germans and to fight with the allies. Yes because the guns represent the allies fighting against the Germans. Yes it could have been during that time because it shows the allies being united and fighting for a reason.
    2) The day will come: I like this one because it shows that one day both Japan and Nazi Germany will be stopped. The message is that they will be stopped and the axis powers will be no more. Yes because the Nazi flag and the Japanese flag is one with fire around it showing that it will go down one day. Yes because it would probably have been good for a rallying against the axis powers.

    2. Yeah, I thought that combining the Nazi and Japanese flags was a cool way to symbolize their alliance!

  9. "United, We Will Win"
I liked the symbolism behind the propaganda. The message behind it, that we would destroy the Nazis, is very clear. During WW2 it would give the audience hope that the Allied Powers would defeat Nazi Germany.
    "Our Enemy Shall Burn"
I like the clear message. It tells you that the Nazi Regime will definitely be defeated. The symbolism in the propaganda is shown through the burning swastika. It implies the confidence that the author has in Germany's defeat, and would encourage the audience to have that same faith in the Allied powers.

    2. I liked the "United, we will win" one, too! The symbolism was one of the clearest in the group and I liked the message of the obvious win for the allies!

  10. The Nazi boot one:
I liked the symbolism with the Nazi boot crushing the jew, and the slogan was pretty great. The message was that the Nazi regime was saying that the Jewish people were trying to take over the world with their greed but really it's the Nazi's who are trying to use the Jews as a scapegoat in order to take over most of Europe. The message was very clear. I think the propaganda would have been really successful during that time period.

    "A Nazi who can't run can't hold a gun"
I like how it was relevant to the time, with the olympics reference it would have worked very well for that time period. The symbolism is Jesse Owens, who was a major star at the time. The message is that the aryans are not superior because Jesse Owens is a black American which was a big deal back then. The symbolism works and it portrays their point of the Aryans are not as great as they thought.

  11. The propaganda of the hanging jews not only is very well drawn, it has a lot of meaning behind it.

The propaganda of united we shall win, because it represents how together we can take down hitlers regime.

  12. I like the hanging Jew picture, it shows the Nazi swastika as a large ominous symbol dominating the background The hanging children brought it a little to far however... I'm very offended by that and would like it removed the board.

  13. I liked the piece of propaganda showing the giant Nazi boot stepping on the small Jew. It shows that its not actually the Jews trying to takeover, it's the Nazis. I think it would of been effective during WWII because it shows a clear message that the Jews are an excuse for the Nazis to take over.

I also liked the propaganda that shows the Nazi symbol on the Japanese flag that is on fire. It also says that "The Day Will Come". It shows that one day we will defeat the Nazis and the Japanese and we must keep fighting. It would be effective during WWII to keep the Allies fighting to end the war.

  14. "Save your children end the Nazi regime"
-I liked how good the work was. Everything thing on this was very neat but kinda scary..
-The message was very clear here, and I think that it was meant for parents and to tell them that this needs to come to an end also trying to send a serious message out to everyone that people are dying.
-The artist on this used fear for their symbolism.
-I think this propaganda could have been successful because there's people being hung and that's no good..

    "Hitler is bad"
-This one I thought was very obvious, but what is bad?
-The message was clear that Hitler was bad, but again, what was bad?
-I don't really know what the symbolism was for this one.
-In some ways I think the propaganda could be successful but everyone already knew he was bad. But overall, probably not.

  15. ¨The Day Will Come¨
I like how it incorporated more than one country´s flag. It gives a sense of hope that we WILL win and all of the countries involved will no longer have any power.

    ¨Our Enemy Shall Burn¨
I like the meaning that the Germans will fail and we won have to worry about them anymore. The swastika on fire shows that the German government will burn out and be no more.

  16. "Save your children" is really good! Not only is it well drawn, but the shock factor of the hanging children really strikes into your heart. It shows that no one, not even the kids, are safe from the evil of the Nazis. I think this would've been really successful.
"The Day Will Come" had some really great symbolism! The burning flag shows the imminent failure of the Nazis. They did great evil, so the day would most certainly come when their world would come crashing down. I think this also would've been effective. -Sarah

  17. I think the picture saying, "save your children End the nazi regime" is powerful, because of how they used the jew hanging and how they presented the picture. The symbolism would be the Nazi symbol behind the jews that are hanging.

I also liked the propaganda of the "Nazi" boot stepping on a jew. I think this is really powerful, because of how it is presented. The symbolism would be the Nazi sign leg of the boot.

  18. I liked the picture of Hitler with the x through his head because it shows that Hitler is evil and against the Jewish people.

  19. "The day will come" has a lot of meaning behind it, with the swastika burning. I think it shows the end is near.

"Save your children, end the nazi regime" is a great picture because of the little kids hanging in it. Just has huge meaning behind it

  20. Save your children from the Nazi Regime- I love how depressing and grim the imagery is, really sends home the point. The message was clearly that the Jews are being killed in a gruesome faction, and the Nazis must be stopped. The message was clear. Yes they used symbolism, it was through the noose and star of David, as well as the looming flag. It drives home the point, it's brief, I think it could be successful.

United, we shall win- This piece had a far more patriotic message. It didn't convey fear or hatred, yet a message of confidence. The message was that the Allied powers would conquer the Nazi regime. The flags on the cannons is incredible imagery of military power, and I think this particular propaganda is effective.

  21. "Our Enemy Shall Burn!"
I like that the audience of this propaganda piece seems to be the German people because it has the German language on it. This is ironic because a large number of Germans were following Hitler at this time and may not have been open to hearing things against him. This message of Hitler being evil was clear to German speaking people. It would have been less clear to people who didn't know the German language. The artist did use symbolism. Fire can represent evil and they stated that Hitler was evil in the slogan of the poster with a swastika surrounded by flames in the background. This propaganda piece would have been successful at the time because the symbolism is powerful and the German slogan would have gotten the attention of the German people seeing the poster.

    "Boot" Propaganda poster
I like the picture that is in this piece. I think it is very intriguing and attention getting. The message of the propaganda piece is that it is really the Germans who want to take over the world. It was clear because this giant boot with the German swastika is crushing the tiny Jew underneath. The symbolism of the very large boot and very small Jewish person portrays the point that it's really the Germans who want to take over the world not the Jews like Hitler says. I think this propaganda piece would have been successful during that time. It would have been successful because it states the message very clearly and the audience doesn't have to put much thought into understanding what they are trying to portray.

  22. ¨A Nazi who can run cant hold a gun¨
-I liked how the Nazi was out of breath and how the Jew was way ahead of him.
-The message was that germans that can´t catch a Jew without having to stop to catch their breath, should not have a gun in the first place because having a gun does not mean that he will be able to catch him.
-The artist used the star of david and the german swastika to identify who was who.
-Yes it would have been successful because it would encourage the Jews to run more and try to escape more often.

¨Are you sure it is the JEWS who want to take over the world?¨
-I liked the way the artist put the big Nazi boot on top of the little Jew and show the jew pushing up on it.
-The message was very clear with the way the tiny Jew was holding up the giant boot of the Nazi that the Germans were trying to take over the world and not the Jews.
-The artist put a swastika symbol on the boot to show the German pushing down with his boot and the tiny Jew was under it.
-Yes it would have been successful because it would show the truth of what is happening at the time and not what the Nazis want you to think.
